1. Why do I need to buy a new map update?

The road network is constantly changing which is why HERE maps are updated, approximately once a year. Each new map update includes a wealth of information including new and updated road networks and thousands of Points of Interest - from petrol stations to airports and from casinos to wineries. With a new map release you can be comfortable that you have the latest information available for your Land Rover Navigation System, providing you with a better travel experience whether on business or leisure.

 

2. How often are new map updates released?

Updates are available, approximately once a year. Contact us if you want to be kept informed when your new map update is released.

3. Is my Map CD/DVD compatible with other vehicles or navigation systems?

Navigation systems operate on proprietary format software meaning that the map CD or DVD that is in your navigation system will only be able to be to be read by that system. This will also be the case for the map updates, hence why we provide a drop down menu system on-line to identify your vehicle model and model year. This ensures that you are supplied with exactly the correct map for your Land Rover navigation system.

 

4. The map that I was supplied does not contain a road that I know exists.

We make every effort to provide maps that are an accurate, up-to-date reflection of your world. Our teams of geographic analysts use highly advanced technology to continually collect and verify changes to thousands of the world's roads, providing the map on your device or system is fresh, accurate and highly detailed. If your navigation system map displays a discrepancy, please use Map Creator to notify us.

 

5. What delivery method is used for my map and how long does it take?

All maps are delivered by trackable couriers. In the US** you can choose from two methods of delivery, Standard 2 day delivery or Overnight Shipping. In Canada we offer Standard 2 day delivery.
** When orders are received before 2:55pm CST. All deliveries will be delivered prior to 4:30pm CST. 2 day deliveries will take 2 business days and Overnight deliveries will take 1 business day.

 

6. Do I have to pay for shipping and handling charges?

Shipping and handling charges are an additional charge to the cost of the map and are dependent on where you require your map to be delivered. The charges will be displayed clearly as you order your map. The shipping and handling prices are as follows: Canada US$ 29.95, United States 2 day US $9.95, United States Overnight US $19.95.

 

7. Do I have to pay local taxes?

Yes, we will display local taxes as you order your map.

 

8. How secure are my payment details?

To help protect your credit card number and personal information, we encrypt every order. Encryption is a process by which we use software to scramble your credit card number and personal information.

12. Am I able to buy a European map for my North American car?

No, the European maps are formatted for the European Navigation Systems, which are different systems to those fitted in North American cars.

 

13. How can I purchase a replacement map?

Replacement CD or DVD maps are only available for the latest model year. If you have lost or damaged your map and wish to purchase a replacement, the latest map version for your navigation system is available on this website.
