This Application is for North American and European customers who satisfy the following criteria:
I own a Dell Axim X51/X51v/X50/X50v running the Microsoft Windows Mobile 5.0 Operating System
I have recently purchased the Dell GPS Navigation System with Bluetooth GPS receiver, product code FD720 (on base of unit).
I already have map data CDs dated April 2006 (This software is not compatible with earlier map versions).
Note: This version of the application contains a fix for setting up the connection between the Dell Axim PDA and the Bluetooth GPS receiver.
Installation Instructions:
Make sure Dell GPS Navigation System software is closed on the Dell Axim.
Make sure Dell GPS Map Loader is closed on the Laptop/ Desktop.
Connect the Dell Axim to the Laptop/Desktop and open Microsoft ActiveSync.
From Microsoft ActiveSync, click on Tools, Add/Remove Programs.
Select and highlight "Dell GPS Navigation System".
Click on "Remove" on the bottom of the dialog box to remove the application from both the Dell Axim and the Laptop/Desktop.
Download the required zip file. Please note there are separate application versions of the Dell GPS Navigation System for Bluetooth GPS and for Cable GPS based systems.
Extract the entire contents of the zip file into a temporary folder on the Laptop/Desktop.
Run Setup.exe from the temporary folder and follow the onscreen prompts to install the updated version.
