Released in August 2006, this map is the perfect partner if you're travelling in Europe, whether it's for business or pleasure. It includes coverage across Europe; Andorra, Austria, Belgium, Luxembourg, The Netherlands, France, Germany, Italy, Monaco, Liechtenstein, Norway, Finland, Spain, Portugal, Gibraltar, Sweden, Denmark, Switzerland, The Vatican, San Merino, GB, Ireland and Northern Ireland (including the Channel Islands and the Isle of Man). With over 6.8 million kilometres of roads (0.8 million kilometres newly added), 1,082,979 places of interest (148,252 newly added), this new map provides comprehensive coverage of all major towns and cities including 415 airports, 350 amusement parks, 1,632 bowling and ice skating arenas, 11,771 bus and rail stations, 345 casinos, 5,023 cinemas, 1,421 exhibition arenas, 4,665 golf courses, 4,955 hospitals, 65,237 hotels, 1,071 marinas, 10,065 museums, 9,819 parks and recreation areas, 143,771 restaurants, 3,558 shopping areas, 26,867 sports complexes, 6,061 wineries and 9,158 tourist attractions. This map now includes significant coverage increases (compared to the 2005 release) in, for example, the following areas: Scandinavia (increased by 15%) Portugal (increased by 103%) Spain (increased by 111%) UK/Ireland (increased by 19%) The European Map is available in 5 languages; English, French, German, Spanish and Italian. With a large enough card, owners can now install the whole of Europe on a single card. The total map size for Europe is 2.22 gigabytes.
